I use Team Viewer, to monitor 3 Win 10 machines & 1 Win 7:

On two machines, closing Windows clicking on upper right corner "X", breaks the T.V connection, if I immediately log back in, Windows asks for my PIN.

On the other two, closing Windows using "X" then using T.V,to re-establish connection, goes straight to the desktop.

Not sure if this is Windows or Team Viewer
but all, should go straight to Desktop, when establish connection.
