Owner died, secured loan, admin cant drive

This seems like a difficult situation that I cant find an answer for. Some basic facts: Friends mother died, she has a secured finance arrangement on a car, but holds the V5. She left no will, her son is managing the estate but has no letters of administration. Little to no assets after reasonable funeral costs. Her son, who is dealing with the estate, cant drive, and cant afford to run it anyway. Car is parked off road until 15th sept, then the rented house is returned to owner. The issue ...

HP 20S and HP 21S: Qualifying Loan Amount (28:36 ratio)

The program presented in today's blog entry will calculate the qualifying loan amount given the following: * Loan's annual interest rate and term (in years) * The borrower's monthly gross income * The borrower's monthly non-property related debt (credit cards, auto loans, store bought appliances on credit, etc). Do not include utilities or phone bills. * The estimated monthly property tax and insurance. For this program, combine the two amounts. Before running the program, store the following...

should I secure my loan?

Dear friends, My wife and I were hoping that you could give us some advice on this dilemma: 5 years ago we got a total of £70,000 personal loan (10 years period) for home improvement. Things went as planned and we are now enjoying the much needed more space at our house. During the last 5 years we have been paying around £750 per month towards our loan. The APR of the loans (several sources) are all around 5%. While we are ok to continue for another 5 years, we do need to stay on a tight bud...

iPhone Upgrade Program, just got billed for old loan

Has anyone (who got the iPhone X on launch day) who also just got the XS on launch day under the iUP, just get billed for technically the 13th month for their old loan? I say 13th month, because the XS pre-order required an early upgrade fee of one month's cost due to it only being out 11 months total. Will this payment be refunded once Apple closes out the loan? I sent my iPhone X back in last week, but it's still processing. I just called Citizens One and they said it's up to Ap...

Please help calculate loan settlement figure

I am in dispute with Hitachi as I believe the settlement figure they have given me is incorrect. I thought I was in a position to settle the loan until I contacted them... could you please help me work out what it should be? I don't even have a copy of the original agreement, I don't think they ever sent it to me. I thought my interest rate was higher but I have just dug out an annual statement which tells me that the interest rate is 30.75% (Still high I know, but I had no other options at the...

Student loan statement - missing ones

I took student loan between 2000-2003 (biology degree) and again 2004-2009 (medicine degree). I admit I've been a bit lax about monitoring what I've paid and what I've been charged in interest. I'm on sick leave at the moment and having more time than I've ever had in recent years I'm trying to sort out where I'm at with spread sheets. Going through the statements I've collated I've got mishmashes of interim statements, final year statements and missing lots of statements (where I moved so many ...
