SupportFree for the month items (Other engine usage?) | Unreal Engine

What I'm wanting to know are the free for the month items(non epic), are they free to use in other engines, as this is the default 3rd party license?

I know anything I buy (with a default license) can be used in both engines.

I'd not expect the free for the month items to be available for use in other engines but I didn't see a different license on download.

Maybe I missed something, hence the question.

Kind regards,
sol

Debugging the memory usage and other final debugging and problem solving | Unreal Engine

So, my game is almost finished when it comes to content and ready for beta. When I am playing the game through from start to finish, I am starting to get resourse problems which are displayed by "texture streaming pool over xxxx". The thing is, I have optimized all the levels to work at 90+FPS/Epic Settings/ at r.Streaming.PoolSize 1500. All the invidual levels work fine and cause no problems. But when I play from start to finish, the error message starts to pop up constantly, and I a...

Unreal Version Usage Information | Unreal Engine

Maya LT or Blender for marketplace items? | Unreal Engine

Hello this is for all of the people who model things for the marketplace. Should I cave and buy Maya LT it has all of the modeling functions I need. I currently have the student version of Maya but I of course can't use that or have the money to buy it but the LT version is cheap and affordable. Do you think that is the better rout since I can render in Keyshot, Unreal, and other rendering engines rather than learning blender? A whole new program and have to start from scratch again?...

In-Game photo studio for icons linked to items etc | Unreal Engine

I want to create a system that dynamically takes pictures of actors on demand, so they can be represented as icons in inventories, unit portraits in selections and things like that. Both items and units are highly procedural and their looks differ from instance to instance, which means I can't just create pictures in advance and save them with the assets. So I need to be able to spawn and capture actors at any time in the game. My question is: how should I go about it, so that there is no inte...

Datasmith import causes 60% Windows Explorer CPU usage | Unreal Engine

Our initial import of quite a large track and field stadium went ok, but we noticed that having 300x200m large objects which go around 360 degrees might not be optimal (very weird distance field results), so we divided them up into smaller pie pieces. We didn't think this was a huge deal, but now when Unreal detects the changed .udatasmith file, the import takes hours and consumes 100% of CPU, where 60% of that is from Windows Explorer. During all of this, Unreal Editor is completely unrespons...

Numpy can't exist on the same system as Unreal Engine - aptitude?

I'm having an exceedingly difficult time resolving dependencies for Unreal Engine on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
